Enabling or Disabling Enhanced Ransomware Protection

Enhanced Ransomware Protection for CTE monitors selected file behavior for unauthorized access or modifications, to more quickly detect malicious attacks. When accessed or altered, these files trigger an alert, indicating potential malicious activity.

The Enhanced RWP protection feature is enabled by default.

To disable:

1. In CipherTrust Manager, click Transparent Encryption and open a relevant client.

2. In the Client window, click Advanced Security Configuration.

3. For the option, Enhanced RWP_Protection, select Disabled.

4. Click Save.

5. To enable it again, select Enabled.
